Help Build a Global Network for Nature’s Early Signals
Environmental change rarely begins with a headline.
It often begins quietly: a species appearing earlier than expected, a river changing its rhythm, a familiar landscape becoming unusually silent or a seasonal pattern no longer behaving as it once did.
These changes are often first noticed by people who know their local environment. Yet many observations remain isolated, undocumented and unseen.
SignaNatura is building a practical international network that combines human observation, local knowledge, education, open information and responsible artificial intelligence.

What SignaNatura is Building

Nature Signal Observer Education
We are developing an accessible training programme that helps people observe nature more systematically.
Participants will learn how to recognise potential signals, document observations responsibly, distinguish observations from interpretations and provide information that can be compared across locations and time.
The objective is not to turn every participant into a scientist. It is to help people become more careful, informed and responsible observers of their own environment.

An International Observation Community
SignaNatura is building a community for people who notice, document and discuss changes in nature.
The community will connect local observations across regions and countries while encouraging responsible participation, critical thinking and respect for scientific knowledge.
Our long-term goal is to develop a diverse network of observers who can help identify emerging patterns that might otherwise remain fragmented or invisible.

A Nature Signal Knowledge Platform
We aim to develop a digital platform where observations, background information and relevant expert sources can be organised into understandable signal themes.
The platform will support the responsible collection, classification, comparison and visualisation of observations.
It will also address essential issues such as data quality, privacy, location information, user rights and the prevention of misleading or low-quality content.

Responsible AI-Assisted Analysis
Artificial intelligence can help organise large numbers of observations, identify recurring themes and highlight patterns that may require closer investigation.
However, AI does not determine whether an observation is true, scientifically significant or evidence of a larger environmental change.
Human judgement, source verification, transparency and expert knowledge remain essential.
At SignaNatura, artificial intelligence is used as an analytical support tool not as an unquestioned authority.

Why Founding Partners Matter
SignaNatura is currently in its development phase.
The vision is clear, but turning that vision into a functioning international initiative requires education, technology, community building, governance and long-term commitment.
Founding Partners can help transform SignaNatura from an emerging initiative into a practical system capable of educating observers, supporting pilot communities, organising observations and publishing transparent Nature Signal Briefs.
Your organisation would not simply be supporting a website or an individual campaign.
You would be helping build the foundations of a new way to notice, connect and understand environmental change.

What Partnership Funding Will Enable
Partnership funding will be directed towards clearly defined areas of development. It will help build the education, community, technology, analysis and governance required to develop SignaNatura into a credible international initiative.

Education and Learning Materials
Funding will support the development of the Nature Signal Observer programme, including practical observation guidelines, exercises, written materials, video content and future language versions.
The programme will help participants document observations carefully, distinguish observation from interpretation and contribute information that can be compared across locations and time.

Community Development and Pilot Projects
We will recruit and support the first observer communities and organise regional or thematic pilot projects.
These pilots will allow us to test the SignaNatura model in practice, gather feedback and improve the observation, participation and reporting processes before wider international expansion.

Digital Platform Development
Funding will support the development of tools for receiving, organising, classifying, searching and visualising observations.
This work will also include responsible management of privacy, location information, user permissions, data quality and potentially misleading content.

Analysis and Nature Signal Briefs
We aim to develop a transparent process for grouping observations, identifying recurring themes and comparing emerging signals with reliable background information and expert sources.
Relevant findings and observations will be communicated through Nature Signal Briefs, progress reports and public educational materials.
Governance and Responsible Growth
A credible international initiative requires more than education and technology.
Funding will also support financial oversight, data protection, contracts, community moderation, partnership management and transparent reporting.

Your partnership helps turn scattered observations into shared understanding.

What Founding Partners Receive
Founding Partners help build SignaNatura from the ground up. In return, they receive meaningful visibility, regular updates and opportunities to engage in the initiative’s development.

Founding Partner Recognition
Your organisation will be recognised as a SignaNatura Founding Partner on our website and in selected partnership communications.

Partner Visibility
Your organisation will be featured on the SignaNatura partner page and in relevant public materials related to the partnership.

Progress and Impact Reporting
You will receive regular updates on project development, achieved milestones, use of funding and emerging results.

Partner Briefings and Events
You will be invited to selected partner briefings, development discussions and relevant SignaNatura events.
Pilot Participation or Staff Webinar
Depending on the partnership, your organisation may participate in a pilot project or receive a Nature Signal Observer webinar for employees or stakeholders.

A Meaningful Partnership, Not Just Logo Visibility
A SignaNatura partnership is designed to create real participation, transparent reporting and long-term value.
Partner benefits, responsibilities and visibility will always be agreed clearly and transparently.

Independence Builds Trust
SignaNatura welcomes cooperation with businesses, foundations, research organisations, technology providers, public-sector organisations and civil-society partners.
However, partnership funding does not buy influence over observations, analysis or conclusions.
SignaNatura retains its editorial and analytical independence. Partners may contribute funding, expertise, technology and knowledge, but they cannot determine what findings are published or how observations are interpreted.
This principle protects the credibility of SignaNatura and the value of the information it produces.

Become a Founding Partner
We are looking for organisations that believe nature’s early signals deserve to be noticed, connected and understood.
By partnering with SignaNatura, your organisation can help build the education, community, technology and knowledge needed to make those signals more visible.
Your support can help us develop observer education, strengthen the international community, create responsible digital tools and publish transparent Nature Signal Briefs.
This is an opportunity to take part at an early stage — while the network, operating model and international partnerships are being built.
